Reuben’s Daddy and Head of Sales Promotions at Travel Counsellors – Michael has played a key part in raising awareness of Reuben’s Retreat and utilises his extensive network of professional contacts to raise considerable funds for the charity.
Rachael Van Weerdenburg:
Reuben’s Aunty and personal assistant for Salford Diocese – Rachael champions the work of Reuben’s Retreat by attending events and activities to raise fund and awareness as well as volunteering 2 days each week to manage merchandise sales through the Reuben’s Retreat web-shop.
Mr Adam Moss:
Finance Director of Stagecoach London – Adam is a qualified accountant who played an integral role in establishing appropriate financial systems and controls for the charity and remains an unwavering source of knowledge and experience for the board.
Senior building surveyor with our 25 years experience. Robert originally was incredibly instrumental in the project planning of our phase one renovation scheme. With such a wealth of knowledge and having been so hands-on, Robert became a great addition to the board of trustees in 2015. He works closely with Nicola our Founder to move the project through each phase. In his spare time, Robert likes to be with his family and also likes to fly his UAV capturing our project along the way.
Sara is a Solicitor and High Court Advocate and also a Director at Tranters Solicitors, where she has worked for the last 20 years. Sara is a mother of two young boys and lives in Stalybridge. Sara hopes to provide support with her legal knowledge and proven business acumen.
Divisional Director for Medicine at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals – Nina is an experienced senior manager and qualified accountant.With operational and financial experience gained across a range of NHS and private sector organisations, Nina is keen to support Nicola and the team to fully realise the vision and build on this year on year to ensure as many people as possible have access to the sanctuary and services that have been developed.
In her spare time, Nina is kept very busy by her young Son and bulldog “Doris”.
Julie Hesmondhalgh & Ian Kershaw
Our patrons, neighbours and friends Julie and Ian became wonderful supporters of our project from the onset. Keen to do anything they could to help us raise funds they have been incredibly instrumental in raising awareness for our cause, organising events and supporting our activity regularly.
Julie is an award winning actress and Ian is an incredibly gifted writer.
But it was their hard working commitment, the championing of our cause and their love of family that inspired us to ask them to be a part of Reuben’s journey. At the heart of their family is pure love and this mirrored the ethos on which we built our charity.
