Last weeks “Manchester weekly news” serving homes across Tameside and beyond…….

Great miss as we enter Reuben’s memorial month. Every year we go through the motions and take great care as we reach every milestone, each a painful reminder that he is no longer with us.
Using my flipping technique I would like to share with you from now, until we reach them, that we are offering 4 open days for you to come and visit our Retreat.  Every Sunday for the whole month of October, we will be opening our retreat and lodge for you to see. The days are family friendly and we will be open from 11am until 3pm.
Open on the 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th of October.  You will be able to view our fantastic new facility “The lodge at Reuben’s” and also see the extensive list of works, and our plans for the big main building. We hope that the big building will be ready by 2020 and I expect it will take at least another £2million. Our plan is to produce a state of the art day care facility including hydrotherapy and sensory suites. And a plan to produce a Victorian tea room and 4 large apartments for our families. No mean feat, but very worthwhile and so very much needed. It will be a flagship facility for families to use from all across the UK.
On Saturday I attended one of our M&S bag packs at Glossop. It was lovely to meet so many wonderful supporters of our cause and I would like to thank you all for making us feel so welcome.
A real buzz about the place, it is wonderful to hear all your stories of “Woods hospital”
Big thank you’s this week to M&S Glossop, 360 fitness, Etherow building at Tameside General hospital for their wedding collection, Stalyhill Juniors bake sale, Busy Bees preschool and Pauline, Asda hurst cross and Asda Ashton under Lyne, Maria and the team at Bodytech, James and the fire men of Glossop fire station, The Harewood arms Broadbottom and our friends at Thomas Ashton school.
Thank you to the team at Cruise 1st for a lovely night out and it was great to bump into an old pupil from Thomas Ashton too. Take care Antony, you are doing really well. You should be proud of yourself.

And finally and by no means least, our lodge completes in the next fortnight. Our next phase it to work closely with Gareth Wilson Landscapes and designer Alex to create a Victorian cottage garden fit for our retreat. I would like to express our thanks in advance for what I know what will be a super effort and a big thank you for the recent donation of over 200 flowers and plants from the show at Tatton park. A big congratulations and well done from us, for your recent awards their Gareth, well deserved.

You know who you are and we would like to thank you for giving us such a warm and genuine welcome to your world of work and we are very excited to work with a talented bunch of wonderful hearts.
This week we receive our new office furniture in Ashton and Glossop, its all coming together now.
