It has been a while.
Last year we very much wanted to take Isaac on an adventure. Thinking it through, it wasn’t something I could truly commit to whilst refurbishing the lodge.
So late last year we had a discussion and made the leap to go.
We have just returned from an incredible Thai adventure. Stuffed to the brim with fun and sun.
Isaac has had a fabulous time.
I struggle a bit when we have time making memories, but I know he isn’t far away. Reuben ensured that when we landed, our bags went straight to carousel #23, his special number.
We spent 3 nights in Thailand, caught up with friends and visited temples, flew to Chaing Mai for 3 nights and visited the elephants and joined a Thai cookery class and then on to our flop destination of Khao Lak where we walked on the beach, visited the markets and snorkelled.
Here’s a little snap shot of a teeny tiny part of a very special day. Where Isaac’s highlight was to make friends with a stray dog ?!?!!
He has had us in stitches this trip, he has made new friends and kept a journal.
It’s good to be home and I’m loving being back at work. I am privileged to carry out beautiful work, and it’s experiencing holidays both home in the UK and overseas that have given me the foundations to launch Reuben’s Retreat.
I know how precious memories are, old and new.
I will make it my life’s work to ensure that our families in need and with “miss” in their hearts will have the opportunity to share special times together.
I know I am fortunate to have friends in the industry that I love and where I grew up, make such a lovely trip possible. Carrying my miss in my heart every flip flopped step of the way
