Our Manchester weekly news column;-
What a great start to 2016 we had last week. Culminating in a team briefing at the end of our working week. Lots of plans to see us through this year and plenty of fresh and engaging new ideas from our wonderful team.
We also had a great article in the People’s friend magazine which resulted in a lovely call from a Lady and a donation. She also shared that her Dad was 103 years old when he passed and was also named Reuben. What a beautiful share. I take it as a sign from Reuben that he’s letting us know he is near and watching and listening to us here and all his friends that support too.
A busy week ahead and on Saturday I will be attending a photo shoot in London for a magazine. I can’t wait to share the details with you; it will be a fantastic opportunity for our cause.
Our running leggings are doing just that, running out of the door. High performance, digitally printed run wear they retail at £28 and you can buy them from us on;- 01457 680023

This weeks thank you’s go to my friend from school Jan and the generosity of her workplace at Christmas. Our fabulous friend and knitter of dollies, Lydia for raising an incredible £775 with her dollies and Christmas hampers and our fabulous support and friend Jack for more quilling raising another £80.
And our special thank you’s this week to Jake and Sophie and their Grandma Linda, for securing us a fabulous £500 from the TSB fundraisers giveaway. Eagle eyed Grandma spotted an opportunity and wrote in about her darling twin Grandchildren and their fabulous run-raising and fun-raising ideas. The judges decision final, they chose our fabulous double act and we were the lucky recipients of a fabulous five hundred. Thank you team! You rock!
Thanks this week to Joy for the horse, and our wonderful couples for their volunteering on our gardens at the lodge. We now await the springtime bulbs and look forward to our carpet across the lawn of newly planted 2,200 bulbs by Alexander Froggatt design and Gareth Wilson landscaping.
And finally talking of gardens our new dovecote is spectacular and a beautiful warm welcome to our retreat – we thank Gerard and Angela for volunteering to look after Reuben’s birdies when they arrive and we thank our HandyDad Chris for taking care of all our birdhouses outside too.
Supported by generous hearts, you make our journey so wonderful – thank you all.
Please SHARE our run poster and spread the word – we’d love to see you come cheer xxxx
