“Manchester weekly news”

I write our column every Monday. Today as I type, we have just moved and I am sat in my new office, Suite 4, Ashton under lyne. We moved across the corridor from a small 2 room office to a sizeable 4 room office space to accommodate our very own counselling suite. It will make such a difference to us all and most importantly, such a difference to our families.

It’s all go this week as we also prepare for our builders CItyBuild to hand over our newly renovated “The lodge at Reuben’s”. Please note, we will be open every Sunday in October for you to come and take a look. We will be hosting 4 family friendly days from 11am until 3pm and each will be manned by our gorgeous volunteers and head office staff. Please be sure to come by, our postcode is SK13 7BQ and the dates are the;- 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th. You can see for yourselves what you have been supporting and also take part in creating our future as we move on to our next phases.

Our lodge will open officially later in the year and soon we will tender for the roof. We need to ensure our big building is water tight before we can start anything structural or internal.
I expect our main building will take around 3 – 5 years to renovate all dependant on how much we can raise.
Thank you to Zipp design in Hyde for printing all our new documents, and also for the gorgeous wallpapers in our offices both here in Ashton and in Glossop.

We are now working on producing information sheets to outline our services, which we can then distribute to our funeral directors and hospitals. If you know of anyone that needs support after the loss of a child, please be sure to let them know that we are here for them. Based in Ashton and Glossop, our number is 01457 680023 and we have a number of trained and experienced counsellors.

Thank you to all those that support our work and this week our thanks go to;- Lisa Wilson, Lydia Preece, Martyn from Hannon holmes, Ben Licence and Joe for walking over 100 miles local2local, Kettleshulme Women’s institute and Tangent furniture.

It was lovely to see Joshua from Stalyhill drop by with his Mummy and thanks to Terry Harding and Marple lions who support many causes. This year they have their Santa dash again for Kidney research on the 6th of December. If you’d like to join in its £10 and you can contact Terry via our offices.

Good Luck this weekend and thanks to 360 fitness, we hope you have a great session.

Lynne is also looking forward to catching up with a great group of teens from Glossop this week who have been hosting a whole raft of fundraising too.

This week we welcome Susan. Joining us on secondment for 6 months, one day a week, funded by John Lewis. A warm welcome to you.

Wishing everyone a good week, and thank you to all that support our cause.

Also sparing a thought for all those with miss in their hearts, especially Pat and Iram.
