18th October – From Reuben’s Daddy

18th October – From Reuben’s Daddy

Posted by & filed under Uncategorized.

Reuben moved to heaven nearly 14 months ago and sometimes it really does feel like yesterday

Friends ask how do I cope……I still laugh and enjoy life but there is always a hole in my heart that can never be filled.

Isaac is an absolute joy – he is learning to swim at a wonderful swimming school in Hollingworth, he has always enjoyed reading but in the last week, something has clicked and he can now read the words without necessarily spelling them all out which makes me smile
I read to Isaac as many times as I can at bedtime and remember when I was a child how when you learn how to read you open up your mind to all sorts of adventure and imagination

And Nic…even though Nic’s grief is at a different stage to mine. Nic is such a strong and determined lady who is always there for Isaac and I at night and weekends

Anyway….I wanted to update you on our progress in nearly 14 months….

In 14 months Facebook has grown from zero to over 34,500 likes

In 14 months Twitter has grown from zero to over 5300 followers

TOGETHER we have raised OVER Half a Million Pounds

THANK you to each every person who has donated, or helped us increase awareness in any other way….this is VERY much appreciated…..THANK YOU

We are currently looking at properties which could become Reuben’s Retreat

Our aim is to reach One Million Pounds in 23 months ( the length of time we were lucky enough to spend with Reuben )

Tonight one message – PLEASE SHARE this post and CLICK on the link below

From now to the end of November localgiving will DOUBLE all donations up to 10 pounds plus gift aid

So please help us build Reuben’s Retreat…..YOU can help lay the foundations…..

This means one pound is worth £2-50

5 pounds is worth £12-50

10 pounds is worth £25

Your one, five or ten pound donation WILL make a DIFFERENCE

Please SHARE……and THANK YOU Daddy x

Ps; I have had a bet with Nic that you would help us reach a mixture of donations/DD’s tonight x 50. Nic said, “No chance”, please help me prove her wrong (for all the right reasons…)
