Just a little note with regards to “challenges”
We are approached many times from companies that would like to offer places to individuals to obtain sponsorship for challenges…..
Sometimes, treks, walks, cycles, sky dives, parachute jumps etc; charge a fee which either the charity are expected to pay or the amount comes from the sponsorship raised.
Without taking anything away from good intention, it’s not something we feel we are able to be a part of.
ALL the challenges, to our knowledge, undertaken are all SELF-FUNDED and this is what sits most comfortable with us and our trustees. Last year’s 10k runners, of which there were 163 were all self funded, and Emma’s trip to Kili was self funded and she also went on to raise thousands for RR too. Even the nighties photo’d here by the Gents of Broadbottom were bought by themselves… its amazing the lengths people will go to for the delights of polyester – ha ha !!!!!
On a serious note and as I mentioned earlier, I hope this does not detract from the good will and intention of anyone want to undertake a personal challenge or adventure and raise money for Reuben, the more the merrier……
WE NEED YOU MORE than ever and are desperate to hit the £Magic Million by July 2014 ~ THANK YOU to all that have helped us so far and huge thanks to all those that continue to be a part of Reuben’s new and incredible journey
