This weeks column …………
Please save the date, we have a ball planned for the 24th of June at the Village in Ashton under lyne and we already have a huge reserve list. If you would like to be placed on the list please call us on 01457 680023. It promises to be a great night.
I hope everyone is enjoying the half term week and what a welcome sight it is to see our lighter mornings come back. This cold snap wasn’t very welcome though and our retreat tours are proving to be colder inside that outside. I think our retreat is doubling up as a huge walk in freezer.
World book day is proving popular and Reu the Gnu will be touring schools that week with his creator and author Victoria. We are very much looking forward to seeing lots of children smiling as they get to meet our much loved mascot. We are also in the process of ringing schools to see if they would like a complimentary copy of our bereavement book “Reu the rainbow Gnu” as part of their library.
Thank you to all our volunteers that have sent their new forms back and thank you for your support working from our lodge too.
Next Tuesday we remember the painter L.S Lowry who passed away at our retreat, formerly known as “Woods hospital”. As a family we have many Lowry connections and he passed away on the 23rd, a special number to us and Reuben.
This week we also pass on our sincere condolences to Paul Osbaldiston and his loving family, David Matthews and his family, and Mrs Hyde and her friends that have lost their Brother in Cyprus.
Our thank you’s in abundance once again, this week we show our gratitude to;- Hyde central services, Class 4 at St John’s Dukinfield, Mr Jackson, Hadfield tai chi, the Smithy surgery, the conservative club in Hadfield, the Hare and Hounds Simmondley, Rotary club of Romsey, Mrs Moll, the fabulous team at British Gas Hattersley and Sainsbury’s Denton, Roylance fruit and veg, Janet Bearpark Uppermill, Hair and beauty Uppermill, Petzworld Stalybridge, Shirley from Romiley for Easter gifts and Lisa Hargreaves and the wonderful slimming world groups.
We also send our congratulations to Margaret, Barry-John’s parents on their forthcoming Golden Wedding celebrations.
Thank you all for your continued love and support, we wouldn’t be where we are today without it.
