Last night at midnight, Ali and I proudly waved off our cyclists as they left the cobbles of Manchester to the beaches of Llandudno, cycling 88 miles through the wet and windy night.
Supported by Simon Jones & Posse and the gorgeous gals Denise and Barbara.
A target was set of £5k and was well and truly smashed and currently sits at £10,288.24 with additional sponsorship due from our friends at definitely Dubai. The total is testament to the hard work, commitment, and support for every single team member. You can still donate via their just giving page below….
BIG THANKS to John and Nicole for all their efforts and hard work, meticulous planning, support, thought and time taken to ensure the safety of all concerned. Thank you John for securing the Radio 2 slot yesterday and Simon Mayo too, fantastic ~ don’t stop me now! Great choice.
I met Nicole in November last year and she said she wanted to support RR, I don’t think she ever imagined it would be as big as it was and so incredible. Deservedly so… such passion for RR, you are a kind and generous and beautiful person Nicole and we thank you and are forever grateful.
Phenomenal fundraising on a £1GRAND scale, THANK YOU THANK YOU, some amazing numbers from individuals too. Thank you John B for your support too, incredible! Big thanks to Suze who was on a one woman mission to recruit half the team single handed.
Thank you to all those that travelled great distance to be a part of it. Thank you to your partners who supported you on the run up to and all through last night. And apologies to those that lost sleep with worry. I hope you all feel proud today and I hope that PROUDNESS outshines the aches and pains and saddle soreness too.
WE are thrilled !!!!
You just took us closer to the doors of Reuben’s Retreat ~ our aim is to raise £1million in 23 months (Reuben’s age when he moved to heaven) and yesterday’s £10k achievement was an amazing number representing the day of our tenth month without our darling boy. Reuben’s Retreat will be a home from home for children with life limiting/threatening illness to take families from across the UK for much needed respite breaks, to build memories. It will also serve as bereavement counselling support for parents and siblings that lose a child. THANK YOU for being such an incredibly big part of Reuben’s new journey ~ now as we say at RR “Relax, Recharge, Remember, Rebuild”
Forever grateful to you all…. ~ Mummy
