23 June – We MISS Reuben every day

Posted by & filed under Uncategorized.

After a tough week and at the last minute, we arranged a quick break away to Wales to stay at a fabulous cottage courtesy of our lovely friend Sall. It was just what we needed. The weather was glorious, the cottage gorgeous, and we crammed loads into our 2 nights stay. Chilling out Friday night we were up bright and early and dined on eggs on our balcony for brekkie. Walking boots on we headed for Aber falls late morning and enjoyed a fabulous walk. Isaac doesn’t eat cheese, so we didn’t mention that it was in the pie that he devoured after our walk back down to the car. Saturday afternoon we drove over to Beau Maris to surprise our lovely friends. We met them on Reuben’s new journey, as they supported our charity with some incredible fun-raising last year. We have since kept in touch and they have continued to support us. They are so lovely and we received the warmest of welcomes and we won’t leave it so long til we return…… Sunday we had a busy day and visited a fabulous antiques centre “Perry Higgins” (Thanks Sean!), Conwy marina, Conwy castle and finally tracking down a “penny arcade” for Isaac in Llandudno… he has sang the song all weekend… thanks to our good friends from Bolton, Darren Elvis Leonard… ( it’s now Isaac’s fave Darren)…. Home late, we had to get Isaac up for school this morning, his little legs have walked miles and miles……
We MISS Reuben every day, and REUBuilding our lives is sometimes very difficult, especially when the fun stuff happens.
But our lives carry on, with him tucked safely in our hearts and minds, and judging from the beautiful rays on some of these photos, I expect he wasn’t too far away and enjoying the smiles as much as we were.
THANK YOU Christine and Andrew for the opportunity and THANK YOU to our lovely Anglesey friends for making our weekend.
LATER an update on the £MAGIC…..
Stay tuned.
Love always,
Mummy
