“When you lose someone you love… in your suffering you will be given the greatest challenges you will ever have.. to be able to accept what life gives, and what life takes away”.
So many emails and posts today, so much good coming from Reuben’s move to heaven. Earlier I received an email from a lady across the water. She had experienced the loss of a child and it had affected her so much, that she left her career in nursing. By learning about Reuben and our story of hope, she wrote me the most beautiful post today and hopes to not only to return to nursing, but forgive herself for the hurt and pain his passing caused. Good Luck “D” and I wish you well on your new journey! Also I received an email, a “pledge” from a Dear friend, trusting in himself to take on RR and all his personal challenges and goals to support us for life.. lovely AE and it made me smiles and laugh and cry… thank you… Then an email from Donna W whose Son has spoken about RR and now they have RR as their charity of choice.. he’s not a boy for speaking up and Mummy and me are so very proud !!! i hope you are too big fella. I worked on RR for most of the day and please see the earlier post about bidding for Sunday’s movie. Tomorrow is TEWSDAY and I want to make it a better day… can I ask one thing ? can i ask that tomorrow YOU write your own post to your friends, requesting their help for RR ??? you know your friends best? It may be easy fundraising? It may be just giving? It may be reference to our site reubensretreat.org or to LIKE this page???? Your shout, your call, let’s make it a good TEWSDAY by coming together and making a difference….. Mum says I look tired… I have shed a lot of tears last night and today…. but I wouldn’t take any of it back to have not had him…
Tonight I dedicate this post to Mark Gray, whose celebration of life was last week. Simone his Wife and Luke his Son in lieu of flowers requested donations to RR, a charity close to their family…. Simone rang us tonight to share the news that £1401.20 had been raised. God bless you both, God Bless Mark & Reuben and THANK YOU SO MUCH for thinking of us at your time of need xxxx Much love xxxx Mummy
