Meet Rachael……

Rachael has been involved in Reuben’s Retreat from the start as both a fundraiser and volunteer but joined full time as our Office Manager in July 2015.

Rachael is friends with Reuben’s childminder Sarah so was lucky to spend time with Isaac and Reuben at Sarah’s house. When Reuben moved to heaven, feeling like she needed to do something to raise money, Rachael decided to start running and hasn’t really stopped since, going from couch to 5k to 10k to half marathon to the London marathon in 2015, she is running the Manchester Marathon next Sunday. She is also a run coach at a local running club Hyde Striders. Before joining us Rachael worked at a local engineering company for 14 years in the sales office and before the birth of her twins in 2007 she was the Accounts Manager there.

Rachael’s role at Reuben’s Retreat is varied and no two days are ever the same, she is responsible for the day to day running of the office and everything that entails from looking after visitors and beneficiaries, coordinating merchandise, supporting our volunteers and fundraisers, the banking and post, helping to maintain our website and social media pages, looking after the online giving pages and she also sits behind our run@ e-mail address and sorts out all things run. She is very busy right now getting runners on board for the Manchester 10k in May which is always a great day where we turn Manchester ReuBlue so please get in touch with Rachael if you fancy joining us on May 22nd.

Rachael doesn’t really have much spare time as she always seems to being running or running round after her 8 year old twins!!
