Last night we all “Rocked for Reuben” – What an incredible night !!!! It just gets better and better !!!!!
Selling out in less than 48 hrs, over 150+ people came together to support Elvis and our cause.
Don’t worry if you missed out, because Elvis is coming to Dukinfield on the 22nd of November and there are tickets still available for just £10pp at www.reubensretreat.org/shop
Today, whilst Bolton recovered….. we headed for Glossop for the Rotary Club’s annual ” Glossop jog” for which we are their chosen charity for 2014. A wonderful community coming together. THANK YOU Glossop and your fabulous Rotary club.
We dined at “The Wheatsheaf” and collected quiz monies from Bob. Great great support !!!!!
My dresses are pressed and we leave early tomorrow.
We have a briefing at 1pm and leave the hotel around 5pm for a dinner 6-8pm. Then the ceremony is televised from 8pm until 11pm. It will be shown on our screens on Tuesday.
I am not expecting to win, not for a minute… but I am truly honoured to experience something so truly wonderful, I really am.
I will represent 1 of 17 regions for Fundraiser of the year. The overall winner is announced on the night.
Mike can come, but we won’t be sat together. I’m just glad he’s there. As at one point, partners were not invited… yikes !!!! it would have been just little old me….
On Tuesday morning, all the finalists and winners will be at the landmark London address that is “10 Downing Street” to meet Mr Cameron. Wow!
I don’t do this alone…. and I THANK the hundreds of thousands of kind hearts that have helped us get this far…… Thank you to Mike and Isaac, my family, Reuben’s devoted God parents, my fabulous friends, our HQ team, our trustees, our volunteers, our fundraisers and more………….. I am so grateful, so so very grateful…..
Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
