Our most up-to-date information can be found on our Facebook Events page, but here’s a taster of Reuben’s Retreat’s upcoming activities…

11th August 2019:  Reuben’s Retreat does Manley Mere Triathlon

An Open Water Sprint Triathlon to raise sponsorship for Reuben’s Retreat.

Make 2019 the year you and your friends become open water triathletes whilst supporting Reuben’s Retreat!

Manley Mere is set in the beautiful Cheshire countryside and is less than an hour’s drive away. The area is great for picnics and the location has a restaurant, a picnic area and a bar.

Why not use this as your first Open Water Tri, although the location is great for your seasoned triathletes also.

  • 750m swim in the lake. The swim will be marshalled by kayak and safety boat. The lake is safe and in August, the temperature of the water can be as high as 23C!
  • 20km bike ride in country lanes.
  • 5km run around the lake itself (trail shoes advised)

23-24th August 2019 (night climb):  Snowdon SunRaise

We are really excited to be returning to Snowdon again this year! The first Snowdon SunRaise sold out super quick and was an amazing experience for everyone involved.  Here are some of the comments we received:

“…a sunrise delivered on Angel wings, one of the most spiritual, miraculous and uplifting experiences ever .. I will remember it and all of you, all of my days”

“It was a privilege to be part of such a spiritual and emotional adventure, the angels did us proud with such an amazing sunrise.”

“Wow! What an achievement! so proud to be part of your special journey with such inspirational people.”

“Woweeee. Amazing… I’m still blown away by the whole experience xx”

The cost is £40 pp and you are requested to raise a minimum of £100 pp sponsorship (we have sponsor forms, or if using a giving page, please use Virgin Money Giving).

We will be booking return coach travel from Glossop for £23 per person, more details will be sent once you’ve booked on the Event with Breese.

Leaving Llanberis at 2am with head torches, we will head along the Llanberis Path to ascend Snowdon (or Yr Wyddfa to use its Welsh name) in the moonlight, reaching the summit in time to see the sunrise from one of the most beautiful destinations on earth. We will return along the same path in the first light of dawn, reaching Llanberis just in time for breakfast.

For more information see the event on Breese Adventures website https://www.breeseadventures.co.uk/events/snowdon-sunrise-for-reubens-retreat/ or ring Rachael on 01457 680023.

8th September 2019:  Salford 10k

The City of Salford 10k is becoming one of the most popular and recognised 10ks in the North West and as it tends to fall around the time of Reuben’s birthday (10th September), we love to have as many runners as possible to take part and remember and celebrate his short but precious life.
