It’s Sarah here also known as enquiries@reubensretreat.org I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you about the amazing army of runners who are gathering together on May 26th to run the BUPA Great Manchester 10k. There are now over 130 w…ho have registered either alone or as part of a small team and are gaining sponsorship to raise funds. They really are an inspirational bunch, many have never ran before and have committed to train up for the event after hearing about Reuben’s Retreat and wanting to help.  If you are local to Manchester then please come along on the day to cheer on ‘Team Reuben’ . The race starts at around 10:15 with the wheelchairs and then elite Women after that the Elite men  and masses start and the majority of our runners will probably take to the streets between 11:30am and 12:30pm.  I know they will be glad to have your support. We have looked at the course map and think that a really great place to cheer will be just after the 1K marker where the route joins the Chester Road, that way you can also see the runners almost finishing on the other side of the road at about the 9k marker. Here is a link to the course map on the BUPA Great run website. http://www.greatrun.org/events/Information.aspx?ctid=83&id=4
If you are one of our runners then we can’t thank you enough, you will have read from my group emails that we have an amazing place to meet on the day, The Virgin Money Lounge on King Street and that running vests are now available to purchase, if you have not received my emails then please get in touch via enquiries@reubensretreat.org so I can keep you in the loop. There are runners all over the country using their sport as a way to help, from 10k to Ultra Marathons. We thank each and every one of you for choosing to Run for Reuben, you are all truly amazing. Please please lets us know how your events go, send us pictures and if there is anything we can do to support you please get in touch. We wish you all well in your chosen events, have pride in your stride knowing you are doing our gorgeous boy proud. Good night all xxx
