Together for the journey
Whenever I talk about Reuben’s Retreat I often take stock of my own body language, something I am aware of in counselling. I touch my heart and smile and this is how I feel. I know that this isn’t going to feel like a job for me, it’s so much more.
Since the very start of our journey Reuben’s Retreat has been blessed with a lovingly designed visual identity. It’s a joy to continue to promote Reuben’s Retreat knowing that the artwork we produce offers a route to vital support services for those who need them most.
I am incredibly proud to work as a Family and Wellbeing Champion for Reuben’s Retreat, alongside a caring team who are committed to Reuben’s work. As a qualifying counsellor I offer an empathetic understanding and know the importance and benefits of feeling heard and understood. This role enables me to offer my listening skills with the bespoke Reuben’s Retreat care that comes from a genuine desire to nurture, hold and support beneficiaries in their bereavement journey.
As a Fundraising & Volunteer Champion at Reuben’s Retreat I am proud to support our amazing army of volunteers, our REUBeneers, as well as assisting in raising funds so we can carry on the Reuben’s Retreat journey. What an incredible feeling it is to come to work each day knowing we are changing the lives of our wonderful families and that magical memories are being created.
Having a daughter with complex needs myself I hope to bring empathy to the beneficiary families at Reubens Retreat. I feel privileged to be a part of this wonderful team, creating memorable activities throughout the year and supporting families when they visit. I am excited to contribute to the amazing work Reuben’s journey is already achieving.
