I do believe that we all have the ability to leave this world a better place than how we found it. Being a bereaved Mum has taught me so much, delivering his angel work has taught me even more. Reuben walks with me every day.
Nicola

CEO, Founder & Reuben's Mummy

A large part of my role is to plan exciting and memorable activities for our families. When new beneficiaries visit the Retreat for the first time, I support our Family Wellbeing Lead in entertaining and getting to know the children, to find out how we can best support them.

I am thrilled to be part of the Reuben’s Retreat team. As a fundraiser, every day is interesting, diverse and an absolute joy.

Meeting our volunteers and witnessing first hand the incredible endeavours that our community do to raise much needed funds, is inspiring.

I also write grant applications in a bid to secure funding so that we can continue our beautiful work and complete our forever home.

My job title is Operations, Finance & Admin Champion, but my role is so much more than that. I am the friendly welcoming voice that our supporters and beneficiaries first hear when they ring us. My role underpins all other roles in the organisation and helps to maintain the smooth and effective running of this amazing charity!
Rachael

Operations Admin & Finance Champion

My job is to create and convert fabulous ideas into funds whilst achieving great impact!  It is a multi-faceted and magical position which involves the art of storytelling and the talent of taking every pound donated, multiplying it, and stretching it into so much more.

Stacey

Head Of Income & Engagement

My role as fundraising champion is, essentially, to raise the funds we need to make our incredible and inspiring work happen. I assist in turning many great ideas into exciting challenges to raise funds, and to liaise with the incredible community that supports us! I spend every day surrounded by the most kind and generous souls, who work intrinsically together to support all of our beautiful families and walk with them, side by side, on their journey.

I have worked in education for over 20 years in both primary and secondary schools, but as soon as I stepped through the doors at Reuben’s, I was captivated. I knew instantly this is where I wanted to be. I feel honoured and humbled to be part of the amazing Family Support Team here at Reuben’s Retreat.  I am lucky to have already experienced so many incredible moments in such a short time, but my most memorable moment would have to be at our recent Disney Event.  The room was filled with such positivity and happiness; children’s faces shone with glee and that moment will be imprinted on my heart forever.

My role as Fundraising Champion allows me to witness the kindness of people every day.  Beautiful souls, kindly giving, in multiple ways to raise awareness of our cause, to reach those that need us and to generate vital funds to support our families on their journey and to complete our forever home.

From the day I first visited Reuben’s Retreat I have fantasised about being part of this fabulous team.

I decided to finally retire from the NHS at the end of last year and, having still the enthusiasm and energy for work, was fortunate enough to realise my fantasy and to do some freelance work with this amazing charity as Family Wellbeing Champion and Psychological Therapist. My role is to work with bereaved families and, with the rest of the team, extend to them a safe space where their feelings are validated, and they can feel supported and cared for in their grief. I also still offer trauma therapy to a number of beneficiaries.

I feel very privileged to be able to add my name to the list of this fantastic team.

Isabel

Family Wellbeing Champion & Psychotherapist

Working within the team at Reubens Retreat for me is an absolute pleasure.

For me it is not a job but a passion.  Seeing families relax, remember, rebuild & recharge and find a place of solace is just beautiful.ng
