Everybody has something to bring to Reuben’s Retreat
Reuben’s Retreat is built on an army of love and compassionate hearts and volunteers are absolutely integral to our work. We even have a name for our volunteers! They are called REUBeneers!
We would love for you to join our friendly team and help to make a difference. Volunteering for Reuben’s Retreat also helps to develop skills, make new friends and have lots of fun!
Ways to volunteer
There are so many great ways to get involved with volunteering for Reuben’s Retreat, from attending awareness stands, helping at events, gardening, working in our Head Office or directly supporting families. Here are just a few:
Collection Pot Co-ordinator
We are looking for an individual to collect and deliver our collection pots from local businesses in the Glossop and Tameside area.
Events Volunteer
We have fantastic events all year round. They are so much fun to attend and volunteer tasks can vary between working on fundraising stalls, bucket collections, selling raffle tickets, serving food, setting up props and stewarding.
Fundraising Group Member
Join a fundraising group to organise and plan fun events and activities to raise vital funds and awareness for Reuben’s Retreat
Family Support Volunteer
We hold support groups all year and always need extra volunteers to help welcome families. Tasks can vary from serving drinks, helping families and packing support parcels.
Volunteer Apartment Cleaner
We are looking for someone to clean our 1-bedroom apartment in preparation for families staying for short-breaks, making this a hotel-standard space for relaxing, recharging, remembering and rebuilding.
Volunteer Driver
We have beneficiary families all around the UK so sometimes we need help with transport so that the families can get to the Retreat or support packages can be delivered.
